Susan Speropulos, LCSW: Hi, I'm Susan Spiropoulos. I am the owner and founder of Florida Adoption Home Studies. Uh, I am a social worker with over 28 years of experience and almost 20 years in the adoption field. Florida Adoption Home studies is a privately owned business located in the Panhandle of Florida and serving the full state.
Why do you work in adoption?
Susan Speropulos, LCSW: I was drawn to adoption because of my passion for informed reproductive choice for women. Um I love working in adoption because of my sense of family and I love witnessing families coming together under all different types of circumstances. I just believe it's a beautiful thing.
What's one piece of advice you have for families starting the adoption journey?
Susan Speropulos, LCSW: One piece of advice for your adoption journey is not to fear the home study process though, it is an assessment. Uh your home study providers should aim to be compassionate, friendly and down to earth.
What's one thing people don't know about you?
Susan Speropulos, LCSW: One thing people don't necessarily know about me is that I have eight dogs.
