Speaker: Mr.Dipish Rai, Co-Founder @TermGrid
How was your overall experience with Sprinto?
Mr.Dipish Rai: Hello everyone. for us, we are a a small, saas startup based in the US and UK. And for SOC2 was a major requirement from our clients and also something that we want to do to expedite our sales cycle. before embarking on this mission, we did an extensive research around the different SOC2 tools and service providers that exist in the market. And , we had a pretty high expectation going into our first meeting with Sprinto. because we had, you know, mapped the entire market and where we went. you know, the cost was high and the time requirement, from us as a small team was pretty high and those were our two biggest barriers, to pull the trigger on any of the other solutions that we had seen. When we met the Sprinto team. I think they convinced us that they exist essentially, to solve the two painpoints that I just mentioned which is around, it takes less time and it costs less. And I think for us as a small start up you know, those two were very, very valuable, so we decided to give it a shot, and I am very pleased to say, and that the Sprinto team did a fantastic job and and I couldn't recommend them enough. I think it was it was a scouting exercise worth its weight in gold and I think I'm looking forward working them for many years to come.
What's the best thing about Sprinto that makes it stand out?
Mr.Dipish Rai: The best thing about the Sprinto experience was that they take ownership of the process end to end. And I think it's very much a fully managed audit, preparation solution and a software which helps you, not only identifies for you, what are the things that you need to do as a team to get ready for a SOC2, but also helps you manage the auditors all the way through from when you're ready to when the report is released. And that is that was fantastic for us.
What was the effort involved in your SOC 2 prep?
Mr.Dipish Rai: In terms of our effort on SOC2 I would say that, you know, we first met the Sprinto team, I would say 17 April. you know, we were we decided to kick off Sprinto after having done 3-4 months of research, and we knew that this worked immediately. so we kicked off with Sprinto, May 4th based on the promise that, you know, there would be, fully managed and they would deliver results. And I'm pleased to say, like, you know, May 4th, when we kicked it off by middle of july, we had our, you know, SOC2 type one. So the total number of days for, from our perspective that it took before we were ready to be audited, where I would say 5 to 6 days of, you know, meetings with, with Sprinto. And when I say meetings, it was probably an hour of a meeting that day. So, you know, probably less than 10 hours of meeting time with the Sprinto team to get up and ready. and on the back end, like, you know, the things that we had to fix based on, based on our own system requirements, we probably would have spent, maybe another week, week and a half. So I think based on the market, which says it takes 10 weeks, 12 weeks of preparation time and readiness time, you know, we were able to get up and running in less than a week, so that was great.
