Why Life360 Features Testimonial Videos in its Product Launch and Advertising Campaigns

To promote Crash Detection, Life360 incorporated video testimonials of actual people who had been in car accidents to convey the benefits of the Crash Detection product.

Life360's mission is to bring families closer with smart technology designed to protect and connect loved ones.  In addition to allowing loved ones to share their location with family members, Life360's mobile application integrates driving safety features and tools like Crash Detection and Roadside Assistance to help protect and assist families in need of assistance.

The Crash Detection is a new paid feature that Life360 wanted to up-sell its large freemium user base on.  Crash Detection detects if a loved one has been in an accident and automatically alerts their emergency contacts and sends an ambulance to their location.

To promote Crash Detection, Life360 incorporated video testimonials of actual people who had been in car accidents to convey the benefits of the Crash Detection product.   They used these testimonials, like the ones below, in their product launch materials, landing pages, and in social advertisements to promote the new Crash Detection capability:

"Customer testimonials are extremely important to us because as a company we aim to make families feel closer together and safe. The best way to showcase that feeling is to actually show how we've helped other families and videos just bring that emotion to life in a much more authentic way than any other format."

Why are testimonial videos important to your business?

Customer testimonials are extremely important to us because as a company we aim to make families feel closer together and safe. The best way to showcase that feeling is to actually show how we've helped other families and videos just bring that emotion to life in a much more authentic way than any other format.

How are you using Vocal Video?

We've used Vocal Video to collect testimonials for a new product launch, and we're using the assets collected with Vocal Video for both the landing page and paid ads.

If you had to describe Vocal Video in one or two sentences, what would you say?

I would say that Vocal Video is the easiest way to collect and produce customer testimonial videos at scale.

How do you use Vocal Video for product launches?

We're using Vocal Video for our biggest launch in the last couple of years. As a company, we strive to keep families closer together and safe. That is why we're providing one of our most loved premium features to all of our users for free. So the feature is called Crash Detection. If anybody gets in a car crash, their families are going to be notified. When users upgrade to Premium, they can also get emergency dispatch sent to their location. We're using Vocal Video to collect the stories of the users that we already have and showcase all those powerful stories of how Life360 has helped save their family's lives. We are putting these stories into videos and then making it available during our launch for both education and acquisition purposes.

Would you recommend other marketers try Vocal Video? Why?

Yes, I would definitely recommend Vocal Video to other people, especially if you have a clean CRM customer list. You can just automate your program and have customer testimonials sent your way all the time. If not, it's still a pretty easy one time lift to get customer testimonials sent your way and get them really fast.
