Parental Alienation Documentary

Thank you for participating in this documentary on parental alienation and for sharing your story. Your voice can help others and inspire change.

Before you begin, please read these important guidelines:

1. This may be the most painful experience of your life, and that’s okay to show. We want the audience to understand your struggle and feel your pain. Don’t force emotions, but take a moment to prepare and speak honestly.

2. Take your time. Breathe deeply, look into the camera, and when you’re ready, simply tell the truth.

3. Aim for responses that are thoughtful and detailed. A single sentence is too short, and an entire chapter is too long. Think of a well-explained paragraph for each answer.

4. This is a feature film that will live on, so be ready for your close-up. Look your best and present yourself with confidence.

5. Lighting matters. Make sure your face is well-lit so we can see you clearly.

6. Remove glasses if possible. Reflections from the computer screen can be distracting.

7. Choose a good background. Avoid filming against a wall—having some space behind you looks better on camera.

8. Position your camera at eye level. Avoid angles that look up at or down on you.

9. Find a quiet space. Clear audio is just as important as clear video.

10. Do not use names. Instead of saying “John” or “Sarah,” refer to them as “my ex-husband,” “my ex-wife,” “my son,” or “my oldest daughter.”

Now take a moment to gather your thoughts.
