Ryan Allison: To me, the definition of a leader is someone who's willing to put the others and the rest of his group above himself. So for me, leadership is about trying to make the other people that you're around better to make your organization better and to overall be the person who's willing to look after the other people that you work for.

Joe Flick: My definition of a leader is someone who is strong enough to serve in the front, and that is often the most vulnerable position there is. I believe that they need to be competent and capable in whatever their chosen field is, and they need to be strong enough to make decisions and take ownership over them regardless of the outcome.

Daniel Peterson: with authority. I believe in, in servant leadership, putting others first, treating them well, and then people will willingly follow.

Justin R. Lenker: If I had to describe what a leader is, it would be just a guiding influence. I'll allow either one person or organization to thrive, and I've been lucky enough to have a lot of those people, surround me in my career.

Jennifer Johnson: This is a great question. I'm supposed to provide my definition of a leader. I think my view on leadership is that you bring the people below you up with you. Um, I, I view my place here as

Oliver Alkire : That person has a lot of integrity. They have a vision. They're a great communicator. All of those are wrapped into one to allow their team, to achieve the agency's missions and the agency's goals as a whole.

Kendra Loney: A leader is someone who inspires and empowers others to reach their full potential. A leader is someone who leads by examples, serves others with integrity, and creates opportunities of growth for others and themselves. A leader is someone who always finds meaningful ways to impact others, but also serves and has a servant's heart to their core.

Michael Nasti: My definition of leadership is the ability to motivate and inspire others to accomplish a common goal. to lead, by example, by showing those skills myself. And then through my actions, inspire others to be part of the team and to bring their own unique experiences and strengths to accomplish whatever our goal is, no matter how big or how small.

Caleb McNeil: Leadership to me is about influencing people to move forward towards something to have influence.

John Mower: Enabling others to act. So again, it's not about completing the task at hand because I know how best to do that. It's about enabling those around me to be able to complete those tasks at hand and sharing in the vision and completing the task at hand. And I think fifth is a really important one and, and that is encouraging the heart because most of us work. I think best from a place of passion and the things that we care about.

Daniel J. Hoy: So when it comes to leadership, there's a lot of definitions out there, there's a lot of philosophies on leadership. but it comes down to really, for me It's not necessary about what you say, it's what you do because your actions speak louder than words.
