Pablo Ayala: My name is Pablo Ayala. I'm currently a firefighter in with the city of New York, the FDNY. I've been a firefighter for about 6 years in the Bronx, Ladder 42. Been enjoying my career there. I'm currently on the lieutenant's list, so God willing, in the next 2 years, I should be promoted to lieutenant. I received the Chief James Yvorra scholarship, and my plans with the scholarship is paying for my EMT course. Which, the FDNY we're two different uh entities. We have the EMS portion and the firefighter portion, so I wanted to continue my career as a first responder outside of the FDNY, picking up a second job as an EMT in my where I live. In Nassau County, more, more as volunteer work to support my company. So I wanna, I'm working on getting my EMT certification with that scholarship and also to pay for school.
