I'm Joe Flick, fire captain for the city of Milwaukee Fire Department and 2025 recipient of the Chief James G. Yvorra Fire and Emergency Services Responder scholarship.
As a leader, this scholarship provides me with two things. The first is the validation knowing that the Yvorra Leadership Development Foundation cares deeply about my personal and professional development. The second is the financial support that it provides as I work towards my master's of Public Administration with an emphasis on fire and emergency administration and management at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
