What did you enjoy most about last year's annual conference?
Kimalla Cambridge-Hewitt: So the 2021 annual conference was held online and I especially enjoyed the breakout sessions, which give a more personal socialising feel that you would have gotten if the conference were face to face and I also felt like the selection of speakers was just fabulous.
What do you think the benefits are of the YRH annual conference?
Kimalla Cambridge-Hewitt: I think the major benefits for me would be the opportunity to network with my colleagues, who I don't get to see very regular in person and also the professional development from the technical aspects of the conference.
What are you most looking forward to about this year's in-person conference?
Kimalla Cambridge-Hewitt: The fact that it is an in person conference this year is where the real excitement is for me, and I'm looking forward to the after party celebrations as well.
How useful have you found the speaker sessions at past conferences?
Kimalla Cambridge-Hewitt: I particularly found the success stories quite relevant to the client delivery aspects of my role as Internal Audit Manager, as it helped me to develop on my review processes to ensure that client needs are being met. And it gave me an idea of what clients really appreciate about YRH.
What would you say to anyone undecided about whether to attend the conference?
Kimalla Cambridge-Hewitt: To anyone who is still undecided. I would say come out, let's network, let's have some fun while learning in the process.
