What prompted you to become a WomenHeart Champion?
Priscilla Cotton: This was an amazing time. This weekend, I really enjoyed my time here from meeting all the new ladies from everywhere and also the presentations and how they went. The presentation is really big to me and everything was very well put together. The sponsors on how they gave us our graduation things. The rooming with the friends, the heart sisters, getting to meet individuals, everything was just very well put together and I was very pleased and hope that I'll be able to do this again sometime.
What have you learned during your time at the Symposium?
Priscilla Cotton: I learned how to network with others. Also with my other heart sisters during the event that we had, it was great. Also, I learned how to network with other heart organizations that we can collaborate together to be able to make things happen, especially staying consistent with being a heart sister and staying focused on that and not getting outside of that because sometimes we can drift off and do other things. But that was really given when because I'm very much loving outreach. And so I just thought that was great that they were making sure that we stay focused on WomenHeart when we're out and representing in the community.
What have you enjoyed most about this experience?
Priscilla Cotton: is what I enjoyed most about this experience To be able to visit the actual Mayo Clinic, and be able to see some of the practices and things that they have there, see how huge it is, how um they offered talk to some of the doctors and interns or whatever, who helped out through the presentations that shared so many great tips and ideas with this and showing how things happen there at the Mayo Clinic and things that they do specifically. That was very intriguing to me, and that's what I liked about it so much.
What would you say to women who are considering becoming a WomenHeart Champion?
Priscilla Cotton: Go for it. If God's blessed you to be here another year and the day and you can be able to get out and share your story with other an advocate. I would strongly suggest you get involved with WomenHeart. Being a Champion is taking it to a whole another level and I trust and believe that you'll do great at whatever you do.
