What prompted you to become a WomenHeart Champion?
Lyn Behnke: Hi, this is Dr Lyn Piny. I'm thrilled to be part of the SNL, um, science and leadership symposium for the Mayo clinic. And in training our new heart sisters. It's been a beautiful weekend. It's been intense. Um, the champions are excited. They're lovely. They're tired and we're happy to have each and every one of them. Welcome sisters.
What have you learned during your time at the Symposium?
Lyn Behnke: So what have I learned in the SNL symposium? How wonderful women are at particularly caring for each other and how so frequently we don't take care of ourselves and we miss our own symptoms. So, reinforcing self-care and daily heart health is critical uh for all of us.
What have you enjoyed most about this experience?
Lyn Behnke: What I've enjoyed most about this experience is spending time with the Champions and the DLS and, um, the staff and getting to know everybody. It was a great experience and there was a fabulous big band here in the, um, hotel last night. And that was terrific.
What would you say to women who are considering becoming a WomenHeart Champion?
Lyn Behnke: Well, this is the easiest question of all. Just do it.
