Shayne Brunet: experience through education. Is how many humans are suffering. Half of our population is going to go through menopause. It's inevitable.

What made you choose this menopause coaching diploma instead of other options?

Shayne Brunet: I am Shane Brunet and I am a certified menopause coach. Luckily through women of a certain stage. There are so many things I can say about this diploma program that sets it apart from the others and why I chose it primarily for so many reasons. First of all, Lauren has been at this for decades. She has been advocated advocating both on stage and behind the scenes for women's health and especially specifically this transition. It's a top-notch program. We meet weekly with humans all around the world. How amazing is that? And we also meet with healthcare professionals and other professionals from all around the world on the latest. Of everything menopause, um, I was really grateful that uh we met virtually for me, I was at a phase in my life where I didn't want to just have a program that was pre-recorded. I needed that extra one on one. There's so many references, so many resources. She sets you up and this program sets you up to be successful, to be. Success for when you're finished as well, and the cohort becomes your cheerleaders. So I have humans now that I have gone to school with from all over the world that have my back and are there to help and want to see me succeed as well in my own coaching business. I would have to say that it was a no brainer for me.

What specific challenge or uncertainty did you have before enrolling, and how has the training resolved that?

Shayne Brunet: I'd have to say that I had a ton of challenges and uncertainty before I learned about women of a certain stage. I was mostly uncertain about my future. The day that I learned about women of a certain stage, I was 45 and I was online searching what early onset dementia looked like. So I had a 4 year old at home. I had been a doula. I thought I knew a lot about menopause, and that same day a little blurb came up that said 35 common less known symptoms of menopause, and I had just about every single one of them. So imagine in that moment understanding what you've been suffering with was all menopause for years, and you had been to your doctor and he was unhelpful. And So that was infuriating for me, but also it was so enlightening for me as well because I realized that I could do this and that we could do this and that women are doing this and all of that has been resolved through my training because I was taught what menopause is and what it looks like and the tools to help you not only Uh, get past your symptoms, but to succeed in this last the the last couple of decades in my life, so. Training has just also opened my eyes to so many possibilities as it pertains to my future.

How has this diploma changed your confidence, career, or business results so far?

Shayne Brunet: OK, The diploma after I was certified, I felt like I was a walking, talking, menopause educating human. It gives you that confidence essentially. So I started offering these programs called Menopause a meal in time to get real, where I cook nutrient dense, um, a meal for humans that are interested in coming to learn about menopause. I've gotten a lot of clients through that, and I have also worked with wellness centers, which have been great. I love the versatility of it. I have, I have clients that I'm working with one on one, and the more I lean into it, the more time and effort I put towards my menopause coaching, the more clients that I get and I really love that as well. So as far as business goes, um, the more you devote to it, the more you're going to get back.

Shayne Brunet: think of that as a positive and I, I just think it's a pretty versatile, amazing career for anyone who's interested.

What surprised you most about the experience?

Shayne Brunet: I'd have to say what surprised me most about my experience through education. Is how many humans are suffering. Half of our population is going to go through menopause. It's inevitable. So about half of our population is going to spend a third of their lives in this phase. And when I learned the statistics of how many women are likely suffering in silence, it just honestly lit a fire inside of me. Something clicked and although I've always been a feminist, there's this like activist that came out. Like we've got to change this. What can we do? Let's do this together. Let's speak up. Let's not suffer. Let's learn the tools. There are tools, you know, and so I think that what surprised me most is how passionate I've become about this subject. So maybe for some, like the more we suffer on one side, the more we want to help on the other. I'm not really sure, but I think that One thing that surprised me most is how much I want to just be able to help during this phase um through education and and holding the space, even if suffering means you have to hold space for someone while they're going through this, then That's a tremendous gift as well.

Who would you recommend this diploma to, and why?

Shayne Brunet: OK, this is the easiest question that I've had so far, um. I would say I'd recommend the diploma to anyone that Lauren feels is going to be a good fit for the program because that's really important. But personally, I would recommend this program to any human. Anyone who is interested in educating themselves about women's health from the beginning, Mis, which 8 or 9 until post menopause, which is the rest of her life. So that would even be mothers, grandmothers, husbands, anyone who is interested in on a personal level, having as many tools as they have to help the women in their lives out. And then secondly, anyone who's interested in in having this be, you know, a part time and or eventually a full time career, and so that just opens it up to so, so, so, so many from people who already have health coaching certifications to uh personal trainers. To anyone in the health, um, field, teachers, of course, anyone in corporate America who wants to help out the women who are struggling at this time in their life, it just goes on and on. So anyone who's interested in really making a difference and finding out more about women's health.
