Speaker: Sarah Holland, Therapeutic Coach
What made you choose this menopause coaching diploma instead of other options?
Sarah Holland: So I chose this menopause coaching diploma instead of other options because the depth of the training that was available. Um, I'd spoken to Lauren on a number of occasions and her knowledge and expertise were just off the scale. But alongside that, she invites um guest speakers to speak to people who are on the diploma. And also there's the opportunity to speak with your peers. Um, and to put into practise what you've learnt as well through coaching sessions. You're also taken through the menopause plan as a coachy, um, with Lauren as the coach, and then asked to have two, practise participants, which you need to go through the whole of the menopause plan with before you gain certification.
What specific challenge or uncertainty did you have before enrolling, and how has the training resolved that?
Sarah Holland: Before enrolling, I would say that my main uncertainty was around um how relevant menopause coaches actually are or how, how much they are needed. And through the training, what I learned was that every woman who goes through perimenopause and menopause, they have different experiences and by applying the menopause plan, you find out what the unique needs are or the client finds out what the unique needs are. And how they can have those met, so that when the time comes for them to have a conversation at work perhaps about applying for a menopause plan to be put in place, they know exactly how their needs can be met.
How has this diploma changed your confidence, career, or business results so far?
Sarah Holland: So this diploma has changed my confidence in my ability to be able to call myself a certified menopause coach. So this enhances my therapeutic coaching business through the use of the tried and tested menopause plan.
What surprised you most about the experience?
Sarah Holland: So what surprised me the most about the experience of the diploma was actually going, being taken through the seven week menopause plan with Lauren as the coach and myself and my peers as the coaches. This was an invaluable experience because it allowed me to see insights about myself and where I am within the menopause and how certain things that I can do or change can affect um my knowledge of what my needs are. This is great because then when I have clients in front of me, and I'm taking them through the seven week menopause plan, I know where they. You know, they, they might be hesitant or they might have some stumbling blocks, and I'll have an idea of how I overcame those and the benefits of doing so.
Who would you recommend this diploma to, and why?
Sarah Holland: I would recommend this diploma to anyone who has a genuine interest in menopause. This is because every woman has a unique experience of the menopause, which requires a variety of experts to ensure that the client's needs are met. We also need to understand that there is a lot of help and support that people um experiencing menopause symptoms might might need. And as a result, this means that they, they may need help from nutritionists, from um GPs, from other healthcare professionals and from coaches. So the variety of people involved who understand about menopause coaching is really helpful.
