Speaker: Jo Moran
Jo Moran: the whole journey's been. I expected I was gonna learn new stuff, but I didn't expect to feel such a strong sense of belonging and purpose right from the start.
What made you choose this menopause coaching diploma instead of other options?
Jo Moran: I've chosen this course, uh, because it felt like the most balanced and thoughtful option for me. I did a lot of research and a lot of the others I looked at were either I felt too clinical or just touched the surface too much, but this one really combines the evidence-based learning and a person centred approach. I also liked that it wasn't just about information, it's about helping us grow into, you know, confident, capable coaches and that the community around us was going to be really supportive.
What specific challenge or uncertainty did you have before enrolling, and how has the training resolved that?
Jo Moran: Before I enrolled, I wasn't sure if I had the right background or that I would be credible and believable enough to be able to be a coach and be in this space. I've had a lot of imposter syndrome and anxiety and lack of confidence. It's all now I know, driven by the menopause. So I was really worried about whether I'd be taken seriously, and I think the training's completely changed that. I've got the knowledge and the tools I need now, but more than that, I have got my confidence back. I believe in myself again, and I think that the way that the course is delivered makes you feel supported, makes you feel encouraged every step of the way. And I'm a great believer in practising what I preach and so I've followed the menopause plan that we are delivering to our clients. And it's really worked for me and I therefore feel really confident in going out and telling clients, look, you know, work with me on this. We, you know, we can help you, you can help yourself to set goals and, and, and really achieve them.
How has this diploma changed your confidence, career, or business results so far?
Jo Moran: This has really given me, um, so much more confidence. It's made a huge difference to my level of confidence. I feel so much clearer about what I'm doing and my purpose here and how, um, I'm gonna be as a coach, what sort of coach I'm going to be for my clients. Um, it's also opened up a lot of new avenues and opportunities and conversations that I just wouldn't have had the confidence to have gone out there and started before. Um, I think there's a niche here and I'm excited about where it's heading, and I'm really excited because I have this sense that in, in being a coach, um, for supporting women through menopause. I'm just gonna get so much more satisfaction from doing this as a career than I think my past career ever gave me in all the years that I did it.
What surprised you most about the experience?
Jo Moran: I was really surprised by how empowering the whole journey's been. I expected I was gonna learn new stuff, but I didn't expect to feel such a strong sense of belonging and purpose right from the start. The content was rich, it's extensive, it's detailed, and the professionals who've delivered the content, they were really encouraging and knowledgeable and insightful, but what has really stood out even more for me, I think, was the quality of the support and the thought that's gone into developing the programme. And it really works. Also, the community of women all supporting and championing each other every week has been so much more than I could have um ever have imagined.
Who would you recommend this diploma to, and why?
Jo Moran: I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to support others through menopause in a meaningful way. Uh, anyone who wants to learn more about women's bodies and share that knowledge and give women back control of their hormones. Whether you're already coaching women, um, executives, anyone that you're coaching, or if you're doing nutrition and wellbeing, or you're just passionate, actually, especially if you're passionate about making a difference to people. This training gives you everything you need to feel confident and that you're showing up and being credible and knowledgeable about your subject. If you're considering it, I'd say go for it. It's an investment in yourself and the people that you want to help.
