Speaker: Claire Addiscott, Founder , Menopause Dawn
What made you choose this menopause coaching diploma instead of other options?
Claire Addiscott: I chose this coaching diploma because of Lauren. I've trained with her before, and it was, great to be able to know that the amount of knowledge that she has, she's willing to share and I knew that the training would be really good quality and really in depth, and that the support would be there to help me understand everything.
What specific challenge or uncertainty did you have before enrolling, and how has the training resolved that?
Claire Addiscott: I don't think I had a a specific challenge before joining the course other than the fact that the topic was new to me. The past I'd trained as something completely different. So this is all really new to me and that was only, the only knowledge I had really was my own personal experience. So it helped, the course helped because it was so in depth and there was so much, information that helped me understand. How I could train people, how I could coach people. I come from a coaching background, but there was so much that I didn't, still didn't know, and the training was so thorough that it really helped alleviate any of these worries.
How has this diploma changed your confidence, career, or business results so far?
Claire Addiscott: The time has really helped build my confidence in a field that I had very little understanding of. This is a new venture for me. So, as far as my career goes, this is a, a fresh start for me after, going through a really tricky menopause, perimenopause, and Looking at what did I want to do with the rest of my life? What, was what I was doing fulfilling enough? Would it keep me, keep me happy? And the answer was no. So I was looking for something that I could do that would help change people's lives. I was building people's businesses before, which was fulfilling, but it wasn't what I wanted to do long term. I wanted something that would be a bit of a heart project that I could put my soul into. And having grown up children now as well. I've, there's a, there was a strong part of me that enjoys nurturing, so that I knew that this would help fulfil that side of me as well, as well as being, incredibly useful.
What surprised you most about the experience?
Claire Addiscott: The thing that surprised me most about this course, and this whole experience was the connections that I made with the other, members in the cohort. We were, we all gelled really easily. It was a small cohort. So we were able to communicate with each other, and really get to know each other as, coaches. And also there was such a wealth of experience because so many people had come from different backgrounds that the shared knowledge was incredible. And so it, it was really lovely for us to all be in the same community and share our experiences, share our knowledge, and make the course, a real success.
Who would you recommend this diploma to, and why?
Claire Addiscott: I would recommend this to play to anyone who is interested in menopause, whether you're going through it through, for yourself and you want to know more about how you can help yourself, your friends, your family members. But, any kind of any practitioner that is already in the medical field will also really benefit from. Having this extra knowledge and being able to help the, the patients that they already serve, being able to recognise that the menopause isn't just the traditional symptoms that we all think of, and looking at what the other symptoms are and how they work with your hormones is really empowering and can really help change lives.
