Speaker: Alice Joyce, Nutrition Coach, Core Nutrition and Coaching
What made you choose this menopause coaching diploma instead of other options?
Alice Joyce: I chose this menopause coaching diploma um because you really feel like you're part of something. You meet the same people every week, you're all part of the same cohort and you go through the course together. Um, you also get a lot of opportunities to talk to Lauren, um, who really helps you get through it. She really wants you to succeed and I think that personal touch, um, just makes it, makes it stand out from all other online learning. Um, another key point for me was that we get taken through the coaching ourselves. So for those of us who haven't had coaching, that, that's a real game changer. Um, but it also means you have a bit of an idea of what you are going through with your clients. Um, so once you've qualified, you know exactly what you're taking them through. You know, areas that might be sticking points, you know how it's made you feel, and I think that personal touch means that you are a much more human coach. You have firsthand experience and that makes all the difference.
What specific challenge or uncertainty did you have before enrolling, and how has the training resolved that?
Alice Joyce: Um, I think before I started, I was quite nervous. Um, I was nervous of seeing that sea of faces, um, on, on Zoom every week, um, and about how much I would feel I could contribute. Um, I'm not the most outgoing in the cohort, but I don't think that matters. Um, then everybody's really supportive. Uh, Lauren couldn't be more supportive either and gently, gently encourages you, um, which was just perfect for me. Um, I think I was also a bit nervous about the coaching. Um, I've never been coached before, so I was a bit nervous about how it would make me feel. Um, it's, there's certainly been some really, um, quite, um, eye opening sessions and it's been incredibly uplifting. I feel like I'm going into my new career, a much, much stronger person and much more focused. Um, so it's completely resolved any anxieties that I had around it. It's fantastic.
How has this diploma changed your confidence, career, or business results so far?
Alice Joyce: This diploma has massively increased my confidence. Um, I feel like I'm approaching my, my new career as a nutrition coach and menopause coach, um, in a much more focused and much stronger capacity. Um, I started to retrain, uh, in January 2025 as a nutrition coach and I've always obviously given my age been really interested in menopause and this diploma has just focused me completely. It's made me realise um how, how important How important a role it is to go um and train as a menopause coach, um, to really help empower women and help them through a tricky stage in their life so that they can live the rest of their life, um, and thrive, you know, and, and really uh like themselves again because you can feel, um, not brilliant during the menopause, um, and you don't have to, you can absolutely thrive through it. And this diploma has really shown me that so I, I'm, I'm thrilled. I'm really excited.
What surprised you most about the experience?
Alice Joyce: I think what surprised me the most was how it made me feel. Um, I think as women, we don't often get the opportunity to, to talk and to be listened to and to be heard and understood. And I think being surrounded by such an incredibly supportive group of women really gave me the opportunity to, to talk and to be heard, um, and made me realise how some of my symptoms were contributing to how I feel. And I think that's partly why I'm so excited about being set free and going out and having this opportunity to, to help other women, um, because it's a real game changer and to be coached and heard and given the opportunity to, to think, you know, it's, it's a very, very special time and um I feel really privileged to have been given this opportunity and to be able to give this opportunity to other women. Real game changer for me.
Who would you recommend this diploma to, and why?
Alice Joyce: I think it was really interesting in our cohort. We had women who were doing this course for all sorts of different reasons. Some were doing it for themselves, some are doing it as an add-on for work. Some like me, um, we're adding to their current offering. Um, and I think I'd recommend it to anybody who has an interest in menopause or an interest to find out why they feel like they feel. Um, I think it's also really important that it's, um, goes out to younger women who want to train because it's so important that we educate younger women so that they have really positive menopause journeys. I sort of imagine my daughter when she goes through the menopause, she's gonna be so clue. up, you know, um, because they have access to so much more information than we had when I, you know, when I started going through perimenopause, I didn't even know what it was. So I think I'd recommend it to anybody who's working with women or groups of women or has an interest in menopause. It's very helpful.
