Sandra Steiner Ball: My prayer for you this day is that you will spend more time with Jesus. I think it's helpful to remember that before Jesus began his journey into Jerusalem. Jesus asked his disciples who they thought he was and Peter kind of stepped out in faith and said, you are the Messiah, the Son of God. And Jesus acknowledged that. Yes, he was right. But then Jesus went on to say that he would suffer and die. And then Peter said, oh, no, Lord, I can't accept that. I, that that's not who the Messiah is, but we know that yes, indeed, Jesus, our savior suffered and died so that we might have life and have it abundantly. So in this Lenten journey, I invite you to walk along with Jesus, recognizing that they are challenging things in this life and that Jesus does not leave us. And as we walk with Jesus, Jesus will invite us into a deeper life, giving place. We will open ourselves up to that invitation that's already offered to us. And sometimes we don't recognize it because we relegate our time with Jesus just to be on Sunday mornings or when we're in a Sunday school class. But Jesus walks with us all the time. I invite you to walk with Jesus Almighty God, help us to walk with you, not just at certain times in our lives, but each and every day and in each and every moment of each day. This is my prayer, help it to be our prayer. It is in Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
