Greg Markins: I'm Greg Marins from Steel Memorial United Methodist Church. And I'm the pastor. I've been serving almost two years now.
Greg Markins: One of the ways the on boarding process really helped me in my ministry here. It still was it, it shortened that time frame that it usually takes to get to know a congregation. Uh whether it be, you know, as a whole as ministry teams or even as individuals. Uh So, so really, I saw it as a way to, to shorten that time to, to build relationships to, to grow those relationships early on.
What would you share with pastors and congregations who will be part of the On-Boarding process in the future?
Greg Markins: I encourage pastors and congregations and have an opportunity for this on boarding process to, to embrace it. It is very much worth the investment of whether it be an afternoon or an evening, uh just a few hours. Uh, but you will be amazed at, um, at what wonderful groundwork you can lay out together and as you begin your, your new ministry together.
