Speaker: Dustin McCune
Dustin McCune: I'm Dustin mccune and I am the board of pensions chairperson for the West Virginia annual conference. I serve at Crossroads, United Methodist Church in Huntington in the Nine Rivers District.
Dustin McCune: One of my favorite things about ministry is building relationships with people being intentional and being authentic in those relationships. As a connection church, we too have to be intentional and authentic in building relationships with our community, with the people in our pews and all those that are around us. But we also have to be intentional and authentic in our relationship with God. John chapter three verses 19 B through 21 says the light came into the world and people love darkness more than light for their actions are evil and all who do wicked things hate the light and do not come to the light for fear that their actions might be exposed to the light. Whoever does the truth comes to the light so that it can be seen that their actions were done in God. My prayer for you. This Linton season is to be authentic and to build intentional relationships, not only with the community around you, but with the God that you serve. Let us pray God, we come to you and we want to be authentic in our relationship with you. God help us to have that peace and that joy. That comes from you alone, knowing that you are our strength and God, we walk hand in hand knowing that you are leaving us where you are calling us to go. Amen.
