Speaker: Davud Azizov
Introduce yourself and tell us about your co-op this semester.
Davud Azizov: Hello, my name is Dad. I'm a computer science student here at Wentworst graduating in August 2025. This semester, I'm working as a system engineer intern at a company called Westmark. Our primary focus is the AWS infrastructure. Uh, through this experience, I'm gaining hands-on knowledge in cloud computing and infrastructure as code, which is known as ISC. I'm very excited to um keep learning and, um, build my expertise in AWS and systems engineering.
While on co-op, what is a project that you've been a part of that has inspired you?
Davud Azizov: Um, I can't get into this specific project, but honestly, 2 months ago, AWS was like a whole different world to me. I knew nothing. But now I feel way more comfortable with it. Um, it's been a super hands-on experience and it's wild how much I've learned in such a short time. Definitely been a game changer for me.
What have you learned that you will use in your career?
Davud Azizov: I've learned to use Terraform and Teragrant to manage AWS infrastructure. The tools lets you define infrastructure as code, which is known as ISC, and making cloud setups way easier to handle. Uh, they've been really game changers for me because I didn't even know they existed prior to this co op, and then they'll definitely be valuable in my career.
