Please introduce yourself and tell why you chose to attend WE LEAD?
Stephanie P. Harris: Greetings. My name is Stephanie Harris and I was actually encouraged to attend the We lead conference by another principal in the county.
What was one of the most impactful takeaways for you?
Stephanie P. Harris: One of the most impactful takeaways I experienced. Number one was actually being in a space filled with a lot of female leaders that was very impactful for me also learning a lot about how to navigate interviews if one is looking to move forward in the area of leadership. I also enjoyed hearing the many experiences from a lot of the guest speakers at the conference. I guess with that being said, there was a lot that was most impactful for me as an administrator attending this conference for the first time.
What makes this event different from others you’ve attended in the past?
Stephanie P. Harris: What makes this event different from others I've attended in the past would certainly include the fact that there were so many women leaders in one space. I also believe that having like minds in the space certainly helped to encourage me to push through any obstacles, celebrate any and all experiences that I have had as a leader in this profession, especially a female leader. I really and truly felt like it was specifically for me.
