What is the most valuable thing that you learned from the Emerge program?
Tin Pavelic: The most valuable thing that I learned from the emerged program was how to manage myself and how to organize myself first, to be able to help organize the others uh as well as building trust within the team between people. I think the other extremely valuable thing were all the people I met during the program.
What was your experience like with your peer group?
Tin Pavelic: The experience with the peer group was amazing because I had a chance to work with like geographically collocated people. And uh another great thing about it was meeting people and learning uh about the work from the perspective of non engineering teams. So meeting managers who are not engineering managers was of great value to me.
How has Emerge helped you on your management/leadership journey at Wayfair?
Tin Pavelic: I started the merged program as already a manager for um 1 to 2 years. And uh what it changed for me is that I often now reflect on the course material. And I remember all the experiences and uh uh kind of examples from other people and have to coach somebody and have to give feedback uh and writing reviews. So overall, it has been a great value.
