Could you tell us who you are (ie your role at the company you used Hireboard for).
Nick Khonaysser: My name is Nick. I'm the founder and CEO of Vently. Vently is a social network for events and communities to build, engage, and drive revenue within a localized space within their cities. I'm the founder, I'm the CEO, and much of the time the hiring manager as well.
What was your experience with Hireboard?
Nick Khonaysser: I learned about Alex and Hireboard through one of our portfolio companies and through one of our investors, and I think the difference for us with Hireboard was we brought these guys on and you could immediately feel the immediate impact that they had on the company. And then to, just the level of code that they coded at was the same level of code that we got from our engineers that have master's degrees and bachelor's. from pretty prestigious universities.
In your opinion are you surprised more startups don't use this approach?
Nick Khonaysser: So, am I surprised that more startups don't use it? Yes. Should startups use it more? Undoubtedly. I think it's a no brainer like for us moving forward, right? And every single round that we have, I think we'll see us bringing on 2 to 3 outsourced developers from Hireboard. But I think the key thing here is they didn't feel like outsourced developers. They felt like guys that, you know, were on pace with the Palo Alto, Silicon Valley, Stanford, and San Francisco guys that we work with currently. and they match that level of output right away. So, I'd be surprised if they didn't, but since they don't, we're gonna be helping recommend Hireboard to everybody that we work with, because like I said, it's a no brainer.
