Emily Benson: It's important to know that your experience as a student matters. Legislators value your opinion just as, if not more than all the other doctors in the room. Remember that we are the future of this profession, so it's up to us to shape it for the future. And the best way for us to do that is by showing up to AOA on Capitol Hill and our other state advocacy days.
