Speaker: Kyle Allen, Senior Manager at EY
Before you met Victoria, what were you struggling with or experiencing?
Kyle Allen: Before I met Victoria, I was struggling a little bit with you know, how others that work for me might perceive me and you know, what feedback people would have for me and how I could be better, uh, as a leader. After going through the Leadership Circle with Victoria, she really was instrumental in helping me understand all those different dimensions that it measures and reassuring myself that in fact, um, you know, given the large sample size of people and what they, how they rated me and things that they said that, uh, you know, I could kind of rest assured that I was viewed as a capable leader and looked up to and they had confidence in me and people wanted to work with me and they valued how I treated them and how I sought out different perspectives and want to develop people. So, thanks to her, she was able to break all that down for me in a way that I could digest it and understand. And enable me to be able to tell my story internally.
How did Victoria help you?
Kyle Allen: She was very helpful in looking at all the different dimensions of really how you should evaluate a leader, that's not necessarily something everyone knows. And, you you have that framework for which I can now take forward and say, this is the dimensions that you look at when you assess, other leaders as well, and it just was overall helpful to understand what they mean. And how you interpret the scores.
How would you describe Victoria's approach in three words?
Kyle Allen: I would say her approach was authentic, concise, and impactful.
What about working with Victoria surprised you the most?
Kyle Allen: I would say the thing that surprised me most about Victoria was just how approachable she was and authentic, and able, just real, is the word I'll use, and able to you know, kind of talk through various situations you encountered professionally, and be able to tie them back to the things that we talked about across those different leadership dimensions.
What makes working with Victoria unique?
Kyle Allen: I think what made her unique is that, you know, going into something like this, you know, you wonder, um, you know, what, what someone's authenticity is like, and I, you know, I felt that she, she very much cared and understands the nature of you know, this program that we do, and really what it means and how important it is to the individual. And I just feel like she as an individual is very kind of committed to your success and helping you.
