Speaker: Cadeem Contreras

Cadeem Contreras: I was diagnosed with Keratoconus, which is severe astigmatism. it's corrected with different procedures as well as the rigid permeable lenses that I have obtained, through custom stable. I feel like I've had a large change, a very significant change to my life with these lenses and I could, I feel like I, I could actually see again. Um, they're very comfortable and they don't hamper my day to day.

How have our lenses improved your daily activities or quality of life since you started wearing them?

Cadeem Contreras: Prior to receiving the lenses from custom stable, I still had issues with, with blurry vision in certain angles. Um with these custom lenses that I have and the higher order aberration corrections that my doctor customized for my eyes, I can now see clearly at all angles and that helps tremendously day to day. Um I feel like I no longer can depend on glasses anymore, which I used to and there was no other options for me. So this gave me options.

Can you share a specific moment or experience where the Custom Stable lenses made a significant difference in your vision or comfort?

Cadeem Contreras: Because of my Keratoconus diagnosis, my eyes, my cornea is not shaped like a baseball instead it's oblique. So having custom lenses to correct that shape of my eye makes it more comfortable, especially when blinking something that I can't do with regular lenses and something that glasses can never correct. So that being said, I feel like custom stable lenses was the only way I can go. And it was the recommendation by my doctor.

What would you say to someone considering the Custom Stable lenses who may be hesitant to try them?

Cadeem Contreras: Definitely give it a try. I know everyone thinks cost first. However, my insurance did a fantastic job paying for it. If you don't have insurance, then there are payment plans available at your local retailers and offices. Um Maybe ask questions. I'm sure there will be an option for you. But overall my lens, we're completely covered with my insurance and I wouldn't even say I have the best insurance out there. I I've had better in the past. So definitely give it an option. If you're in a situation like myself where you're diagnosed with something that could only be corrected with custom lenses, then you have nothing to lose. It's a great option for you.
