Who should enrol in the UNB/CCNB FASD Certificate of Advanced Studies Program?
Cheryl Charron: I would say anyone with a curiosity about this particular disability and with that curiosity that may come from lived experience. So it could be for parents, siblings, spouses, partners of people who live with FASD. So it's intimate. There's also professionals, there's workers or social workers, there's probation workers, there are teachers, educational assistants, they will benefit from understanding this disability.
Cheryl Cherron: There's also the need to understand this disability within
Cheryl Cherron: this disability within the community at large. And so I would say that people who are in law, people who are in healthcare, almost everyone will benefit from this program because FASD is everywhere. It's impacting 1 in 25 people in Canada, and we don't talk about it enough. And we don't have enough supports. So when you look at it from that framework, the more people who take this program, the better off we will all be, because we can start to build what we need.
