Why does the work you did at UMCOR Sager Brown matter?
Rev. Josh Kouri: I think the work that we did during our time at Sager Brown matters for lots of reasons. First and foremost, the mission of Sager Brown to help with disaster relief is so acutely needed in so many communities both in the United States and around the world. And what was great about that is it connected our youth to that mission, and it opened their eyes to how big and expansive the United Methodist witness is — that yes, we're a community of worshiping people and a people — and a Jesus people. And as part of that, we are part of a global community that cares for one another and loves one another and strives for one another. And that was a lesson I was so excited for our youth to take part in.
