Speaker: Jennifer Graham, Sr. Regional Director -Southeast region

Jennifer Graham: So with TypeCoach and how it's really helped my interactions with those on my team and others that I work with. I really like using the preferences, the eight preferences and really thinking through how do, how does the person I'm talking to - How do they get their energy? How do they process information? How do they make their decisions? Do they think through it? Are they feelers? And then how do they show up in the conversation?

Jennifer Graham: So when I'm at a meeting now with my team, one of the things that I always try to think about from the Introvert's perspective because I'm obviously Extraverted and I've been in a meeting all day long with people. And then so, you know, I'm ready to go to dinner. If we have a team dinner, I'm all excited about us all going out to the team dinner that evening. So, I'll try to always give at least an hour, an hour and a half in between before we meet for the dinner, so that, that Introverted person has an opportunity to recharge their batteries with some alone time.

Jennifer Graham: So, I've done TypeCoach several times now and I will say each time that I do TypeCoach, I always do pick up something, and I learn something a little more. Like I said, this last time I really focused on the eight preferences and that's really helped me in my communications and I've enjoyed it a lot more. So I do always, you know, each time I'm pleasantly surprised by the fact that I pick something new up and I'm able to use that in future interactions and conversations.

Jennifer Graham: So if you're just getting started with TypeCoach, I would say, really understand your TypeCoach; understand the preferences, your preferences and then also your temperament and then see if you can identify that in others, whether that's one of your physicians or somebody that you work with or your spouse or a friend and, uh, start small and go from there.
