Aaron Smith: Hey everyone, I'm Aaron. Um, I'd like to share some insights from attending the 25 Belpool conference. I'm working with a group of undergrad students from the University of Connecticut on their senior design project, and the BAP program has provided valuable guidance. Some of the major takeaways it brought back were the importance of programming as well as the design concepts. We had initially planned to build one pool that served multiple functions. The VAP event helped us refine our direction and offered both vertical and horizontal options. The idea of the two pool model, each with a different temperature, we felt was highly relevant. Here are some other important things we learned. Market insights, finding statistics for people seeking our programs, including routines, equipment, and what activities they enjoy. Swimming instruction, developing plans as well as mitigating risks. Healthcare integration, educating providers in order for reimbursement. Feasibility studies conducting a study to include demographics, ideal locations, and obtaining accurate estimates. Expansion possibilities. Although we originally focused on a single product, the program made us consider developing a physical location and integrate the power of three concept. This info has been extremely helpful for our particular business plan, as this portion reference was just some of the info from day one of the event. Ended up with 40 pages of handwritten notes from the class and the networking sessions, plus a flash drive for the slides to back it all up. I'd like to thank Mick and Sue for this unique opportunity, and also the sponsors who were there that provided valuable insight. Overall, the program was a great time, and it has reinforced and broaden our perspective. I highly recommend this conference if you're considering an aquatic venture. Thanks so much.
