Speaker: Pontus Kroon, Padel Player

What problems you were looking to solve by getting a mental coach?

Pontus Kroon: Hello, my name is Pontus. I am 27 years old. I live in Sweden and I play paddle and I wanted to get into this whole mental training because I know that there are a lot of benefits. And I'm also very inspired by people who overcome things that sometimes might seem impossible just by having the right mindset and the right, the right approach to it. So I wanted to dive more into that.

Describe what has happened as a result from working with Tommy.

Pontus Kroon: After being a part of the program for a year and a little more a year and change, I have noticed a big difference in the way I approach things. Um, mainly that I don't get so irritated about small things yet anymore. I, I tend to accept things way more. I, I'm able to turn around, like if I, if I wake up and have a quote unquote bad day, I'm able to turn that around just by talking to myself in my own head and actually believing in the things I'm saying. Also, I'm able to be way more calm on court when I'm playing. Um, just by being able to focus on the things I can actually do something about instead of focusing on the future and caring about the results, et cetera. So a lot more accepting and a lot more calm and I don't get irritated as much as I did before. That. That is a big thing for me.

How would you describe Tommy as a coach?

Pontus Kroon: One of the main things I noticed early on about Tommy is his humbleness and the fact that he does not try to make it like he knows everything. He, he does not try to portray himself. Like he is the main guru of everything. He has found ways that works for him and evidently works for a lot of other people and that's just what he shares. And if you have your own opinion about things or your own perspective about things that is totally fine, we're, we're different people and we, we work differently and that together with him being very respectful to when people are talking. Uh and my personal favorite about him is that he allows his own personality to shine through and he's not trying to be, even though he's very professional. Don't get me wrong here. He's not trying to be this guy in a suit that shows you how the world works because I have a problem with that. We can mix a little fun with a lot of serious things to discuss. And for me, that is perfect.

How does Tommy compare to other similar services you've used?

Pontus Kroon: I don't have a lot of experience with other mental coaches and other programs. Uh, so I can't really speak for them. What I can compare this to is all the hours I've put on youtube and other different platforms when I'm trying to do this by myself kinda and try to get, make a change for myself by myself. And I mean, if that works, I wouldn't be sitting here right now and I'm very glad I'm sitting here right now. Let's just say that.

What would you say to someone who is considering if they should join one of Tommy's programs?

Pontus Kroon: If you're like me and you're a little hesitant with making big investments in yourself. Um I can just say that this is by far the best investment I've made in myself and I know that all the things I'm learning right now will forever be with me and will make my life easier in the long run will make me, I dare to say it will make me a better person uh for the people in my surroundings. So if you're dwelling, whether you should join or not, take a little, take a little leap of faith for yourself and do, do an investment for yourself because it will pay off, it will.
