Akili: Hi, my name is Akili Peesse I'm an African American male residing here in the continental United States. And I want to thank Thurgood for handling my discrimination, retaliation and harassment case with my current employer.
How did Thurgood help you?
Akili: I wanna thank the Thurgood Group and Brandon Burns for really helping me understand my options I had as it related to my discrimination, harassment, and retaliation case. They did a great job in helping me understand how to best frame my story that made it more impactful and they were good advocates as pertained to speaking on my behalf with my current employer, more specifically counsel of my current employer. And he did a great job in terms of working towards an agreed-upon settlement, in a timely manner.
How did Thurgood compare to what you'd expect from a traditional law firm?
Akili: One thing I can actually say based on my experience in communicating with other firms, they did a great job in terms of communicating and explaining every step of the way and options and possible responses by my employer and provided updates as to the res the response from the more specifically counsel from my employer. And one thing I like about Thurgood, they just communicated with me as if I was, one, they're very professional, but I was a human being, not just a paycheck or another case that they can capitalize on. They were really in tune to my, my human side, treating me as if, hey, listen, we understand this is business, but I understand the emotional roller coaster you're going through and let me, they just communicated with me as if they actually had my, my mental health, at the forefront and one thing I really liked about them is that they really brought me all the way to the end for a satisfactory resolution to my current situation, so thank you very much to Thurgood group.
