Could you describe a time that Thinkers Cap Education Centre helped you?
Isabel Tong: A time when Thinkers Cap Education Center helped me was with drawing and understanding graphs as that was always one of my weakest topics and I always approached the questions with fear and uncertainty. Mr. Tham was very, very clear in his approach in how to answer graph questions. And he would use really easy to remember acronyms and methods. And it really helped me realize that graph questions are actually not that difficult and like soon, instead of being so fearful of answering these types of questions, I actually look forward to answering them as I would just remember the easy acronyms and the methods that he taught and I will be able to answer the questions confidently and with ease.
How would you describe Thinkers Cap Education Centre in three words?
Isabel Tong: Three words that I would use to describe Thinkers Cap Education Center would be fun, supportive and effective. Mr Tham is a very supportive teacher and very patient. So whenever we struggle to answer a question or understand a concept, he would use a very effective and fun approach. And this really helps me to understand the concepts better as well as to clarify my doubts and you really grasp the concepts well. And I feel that as Mr Tham is a very passionate teacher, it really makes the education center very fun. As you view math as something as fun and enjoyable rather than a very difficult subject.
How is Thinkers Cap Education Centre different from others?
Isabel Tong: Thinkers Cap Education Center uses a very different approach for most other tuition centers. So most other tuition centers would be a group class and the teacher would teach the group class all at once. But in thinkers c Education Center, it's a more individualistic and I feel more effective approach. Mr Tham will take turns to teach the different students at different times. So the different students might not be on the same pace and might be learning different things. But this really helps the students that need more time to really have more time to understand and grasp the concept as well as well as the students who are a little bit faster to have a faster pace. So this individualistic approach really helps each and every student. And I feel it is more effective as it really helps to make sure every student gets the attention they need. And this makes learning math even more effective.
Could you share your achievements in your exam results?
Isabel Tong: For my Sec 4 (IP) End of Year examinations, I got A1 for E Math and A Math. For A Math I got 95% and for E Math I got 91% overall.
Why would you recommend Thinkers Cap Education Centre to students seeking help?
Isabel Tong: I would recommend Thinkers Cap Education Center to students that help as I find it very effective. And Mr Tham is a very patient teacher. So I feel for students who are struggling, it will be very helpful as he really breaks down the topics and makes it not seem so daunting anymore. And he really takes time to address all of our doubts. So for example, for me, I was very bad with graph questions. But after I joined Thinkers Cap Education Center, he really spent a lot of time helping to clarify my doubts. And therefore, I feel for anyone who is struggling with math, it would be really effective to come here as his patient approach would really help and be very effective.
