I am standing here in the labyrinth at Bonnevaux. It's a little cool today because spring is on its way. But by the time you may be able to come here, which I hope you can in the summer, it will be very beautiful and warm. Everything will be fully alive and the retreat for young adults is an opportunity to rediscover the joy of life and the fullness of life. This place is a beautiful place, which is now my home and the spiritual centre of the community of meditators around the world and has an amazing history of contemplation going back more than 1000 years. And there's an energy here, which is a peaceful, joyful, full energy. And so we hold this retreat for young adults as an opportunity for you to spend time with other young people facing the same challenges and difficulties. In this world of ours, there's a lot of pessimism, there's a lot of fear, there's a lot of anxiety in the world today And to find joy, the joy of being the joy of life itself, we need, I think, other people with whom to make this journey, but we need also to make the journey into our own hearts. And that is the way of meditation. But it means finding community in sharing with others, in opening the wisdom of Scripture with others, spending time working with others, enjoying the great beauty of of nature here in this place, and discovering that beauty in nature with others helps us to discover the beauty of our own inner ecology. So we hope that you will be able to come and we look forward to welcoming you. And I hope to see you here, in the summer on a very warm day.
