What made you decide to invest in Make the Leap?
Jennifer Anderson: Hi, this is Jennifer Anderson. I wanted to share with you a little bit about my experience with the Make the Leap program. Um, it was really helpful for me. I've really been struggling to get my business off the ground this last year. Um, not really struggling because I hadn't really made the effort, honestly, uh, and I was kind of overwhelmed by not knowing what to do, and this really helped me to. Have a step by step process to get the ball rolling and, um, also, I feel like it gave me some confidence that I had been missing. I don't know where in the program I kind of got over that fear, but I feel like it's a lot more comfortable for me to put myself out there. Um, some of the things that I really liked about the program is just having a business basics checklist to just go through, um, they present a plan of do this and this and this to set up your business and you're ready to go. Um, I felt like I had to do a little bit more, but having that basic structure was really helpful because I could just do it, not really think about it, and then just focus on the next task. So it, I got my business entity all set up, um. I have my business license. I'm registered with the state. I have my bank account, I've got payment accounts set up. I've got, I've got all the accounts that I need. So that was really helpful. Um, I liked the content, there was lots of content. There's still a lot that I haven't. Gone through as deeply as I would like, but totally um can do that moving forward. I like that it gave me the outline and some language to create offers for my clients. Uh, I did get my first paid client while in the program, so that was really exciting. Um, let's see, I made some notes. Um. Yeah, I think that was it's really good. I totally recommend it. I feel like Laura and Shelby are very authentic and what they offer, and I love that very relatable. So I feel like whatever your struggle is with getting started, I feel like they kind of address that and uh makes it very easy to get moving, so yeah, I loved it. Thanks, Lauren and Shelby.
What has changed personally and professionally since going through the program?
Jennifer Anderson: So what has changed personally and professionally for me since going through the program, um, I think my mindset has really shifted, and I don't know that I can pinpoint a certain time when that shifted, but I think prior to the program, I was still struggling a lot with the confidence to put myself out there, and I think a lot of that was just not having the language that I needed and. So now I feel like I have some better language to explain what I do, and so it's I'm finding it easier to put myself out there. I think I still struggle with that, that's kind of always been a struggle for me, um. But I, I've gained the confidence that I can do it and also I'm not as obsessed with making things perfect. Um, what is that saying done is better than perfect or something like that. So yeah, so I've been doing some things, messing some things up. You know, and not really caring what people think, um, I, I've gotten a lot of very positive feedback with the things that I have put out there, so that's kind of helping fuel my confidence as well, um. I was able to get my first paid client and just really get my business entity set up, which I hadn't really started doing at all before the program. So looking back on the last 4 months, I feel like I've made a lot of progress in just getting um. Getting my business set up, getting accounts set up, being able to access things, having a platform to serve my clients on. So, yeah, a lot has changed and it's um it's been good. It's been good.
What are you most proud of so far!
Jennifer Anderson: I think the thing that I am most proud of so far is just being able to get a paid client, um, and this individual was somebody that I actually went to elementary school with, so I've known this person for a long time. Um, we did, um, we were in marching band back together, you know. Decades ago, so it's been, you know, since like high school, since I've seen this person, but we are connected on Facebook, um, and it's not somebody that I really regularly interact with, so I was just really surprised, um, that a number of people from my past, and I mean, like people that I knew when I was a kid, um, have responded to things that I've put out and and showing interest in what I am offering, so it's been really good, it's been really good to help some people. Um, I have some clients that, um, I still have a number of pro bono clients, um, but I'm helping them make some really good progress and it really is kind of fueling my confidence that I'm gonna be able to continue that with paid clients.
What would you say to a new nurse coach contemplating investing in Make the Leap?
Jennifer Anderson: I would say, um. If you're a new nurse coach and contemplating investing in making the leap, I think it's an excellent program, I think that. Nurse coaching is, well, it's not brand new, it's relatively new, most of the world doesn't know what a nurse coach is and. Um. The market is is not saturated with nurse coaches at all, I feel like what we can do is infinite out there, and I think because it's such a small and growing, um. I guess part of the nursing profession that there are very. Few programs out there and few coaches that are are coaching new nurse coaches, so I feel like uh the make the Leap program has been really good for me and has been able to, has really helped me to get my business off the ground. Still, I'm still in the very baby baby stages, but I feel like this next year that I'm gonna see a lot of growth and um. Think it's gonna be a lot of work, but I think it's gonna be really good.
