Laura Burkhardt: Hi, my name is Laura and I am a fitness professional.
Laura Burkhardt: The challenge that prompted me to sign up for the Mindful Advisor Retreat was feeling a little overwhelmed and like I didn't quite have control of my time. I like to provide a really boutique service to my clients. And my days are broken up into chunks of time, and the time between seeing clients, I wanted to really feel like I could maximize that so that I was productive. But also taking care of myself so I could bring my best to every client.
Laura Burkhardt: I think that Reframing is a really good word to describe the impact that the retreat had on me. I have definitely felt a lasting impact from a perspective shift that came from being surrounded by like minded people, by being guided by Spencer and becoming more aware of how beneficial small changes can be and how I talk to myself. And I feel more thoughtful and present in the way that I interact with people professionally and personally. So I do feel like I am more spacious in the way that I manage my time.
Laura Burkhardt: I definitely recommend the Mindful Advisor Retreat to others. And I already have :) I think I was most impressed by how impactful such a short period of time can be. I think that it was a very transporting experience that people could really benefit from, and that real shifts can happen in just 24 hours.
Laura Burkhardt: I think that the benefits of the Mindful Advisor Retreat have continued to present even weeks after the retreat itself. And that is the lasting and real impact of this perspective shift that I experienced. I'm aware now of how beneficial small changes can be, just in the way that I frame and think about experiences. And that has had an impact on how I feel like I'm showing up in, in my life and my days. So overall, I feel more thoughtful in how I interact with people, I feel more thoughtful in how I interact with myself. And I see that showing up in my personal and professional relationships, and also my relationship with myself. I have slowed down and that's something that's always been a challenge for me... to not move too fast. And so, slowing down has had some lasting impacts because I have time... I have time to think, take a breath, think, feel, and then respond. That's the lasting benefit.
