Speaker: Ed Herman, Shareholder/Managing Partner, Brown and Crouppen
Ed Herman: My decision to originally uh make sure that our firm enrolled in the master class was really all based on my prior experience with Gary Falewicz. Uh Gary is the most knowledgeable person in the country about legal intake. Um That's, that's just a fact and I consider myself on that list, but he's the guy. So when I heard he was putting it together, it was not even a thought it was. Where do we sign? And since then, uh it's been going every bit as good as expected. So that's what motivated me.
How has The Intake & Client Advocacy Masterclass impacted your law firm?
Ed Herman: There are a lot of ways that the uh master class um academy has impacted my firm. I think one of the main things that we got out of it was really reenergizing the entire intake department, including the leadership, um you know, refocusing, remeasuring, getting excited about it. Um you know, getting people to fully appreciate um how important the work that they do is and how important it is to be consistent and have one great interaction after the next without fail and feel good about it. Um And I feel like that has really been reinvigorated through the program.
If there's one thing you could tell someone considering The Intake & Client Advocacy Masterclass, what would it be?
Ed Herman: My one piece of advice for anybody who is running a law firm is this um you will never go wrong investing in intake. Everything you're doing up to that point is all leading to this magical moment where a person is finally contacting your firm. Like every wish you ever had every bit of marketing dollar you ever spent was all leading up to that moment, the moment of contact and that's the moment you can't get wrong. That's, that's the moment that everything's been leading up to. So anything that you invest in and take resources, people, money training, every bit of that pays for itself many, many times over, I have never wasted a dollar investing. Anything in improving our intake.
