Describe your sleep problem before coming to The Insomnia Clinic.

Hi, my name is Ross. And for probably 6 to 8 months prior to coming to the sleep clinic, I was having a very difficult time. Not so much initially falling asleep but staying asleep. And I would wake up 30, 60, 90 minutes every night and I would keep waking up. And the more I woke up, the more my mind would race, the more frustrated I'd get. And basically for probably 6 to 8 months prior to coming to the sleep clinic, my my sleep was maybe five hours a night. If that. And it was very broken up and I was going through my days in a fog and very frustrated. And I was actually trying to force myself to sleep, which I learned will never will never work.

Describe your experience trying to fix your sleep problem before coming to the clinic.

work. I did try some over the counter medications. I tried some prescription sleeping meds and they didn't work. They were making me drowsy, but they really didn't work.

What was different about The Insomnia Clinic?

but they really didn't work. What was different about the insomnia clinic was that they were more focused on eventually getting me to sleep better without medications if I was taking any that seemed to work or to help. So I really like the approach of we're gonna work. Our goal is to, the end game is to, get you sleeping better, as well as you can, without any medications. That's what I really liked about The Insomnia Clinic. I'm not a big medications guy. I wanted to try if possible to get back to my regular sleep. Now I will say this, you can't just get a pill that's gonna make you sleep well and I did learn that. The best sleep is natural sleep.

Take us to the moment you realized our program was working for you.

that the best sleep is natural sleep. I think I realized it probably uh two or three months in. You're gonna have to do your part. You gotta take some logs, you have to monitor your, your sleep and your hygiene. And there is some work involved. It's quite a bit of work, but like anything else in life, it is so worth it. Probably. I would say, like I said, 2 to 3 months in. I realized I'm beginning to sleep better, controlling my sleep hygiene and you know, tracking everything. You have to do what the doctor says and it will work. Be honest with him. Give him the tools, tell him what you find in your research and your tracking. Give him the tools and I'm very confident that you'd be getting back to good sleep.

Tell us what life looks like now that you're sleeping and feeling better.

sleep again. Now, I've been seeing Dr. Glidewell and he's been working with me for probably a good 7 to 8 months now. Now, it's unbelievable, I can go to bed 10:00 to 10:30. I will sleep almost all the way through the night to 5:00 or 6:00 in the morning. I may wake up once, but I can always fall right back to sleep following the guidelines and the methods and procedures that they used in The Insomnia Clinic. So again, you're gonna have to do your part, but like anything else, it is so well worth it. For probably the past month, six weeks, I'm up to five or six hours of uninterrupted sleep per night. When I do wake up I can usually fall back to sleep and my life is... I never thought it could be this good again. Thank you Dr. Glidewell. If you're interested in getting good sleep. Natural sleep. You're gonna have to do your part, but I believe if it works half as well for you as it did for me, you will be very pleased.
