Please introduce yourself and tell us why you chose The Healthy Teacher (THT)
Dr. Gary Davison: Hello. Hi, I'm Gary Davison, principal of Lambert High School. And we chose The Healthy Teacher, program for our staff, for a couple of reasons. One, you know, both Lauren and Reagan were so, energetic, so positive, so up. I felt like that would be a really good thing for my staff. When we signed up for it, it was a very tough time for our staff. Um, and we felt like their energy would be great. I love the idea of doing some things in a distance way the staff liked it because it, it was accountable, but yet it wasn't someone hovering over you. So they really liked it. So that's why we chose, The Healthy Teacher.
What THT program or service did you use? From 1-10, rate your experience with Lauren & Raegan throughout the process.
Dr. Gary Davison: Yes, Reagan and Lauren, they worked with our staff. as far as programs go, they worked with an ongoing program with our staff. and I didn't go through the program myself, but I can tell you some of the great things I heard from staff was that, their energy was so inspiring, that they really like the feedback that they got, that they felt like they got more reinforced actionable feedback than they did from, even from even trainers that were with them, either at a gym or somewhere else. So they really enjoyed it. So my staff members, when I asked them, they said they would give them a 9 on 1 out of 10, they would give them a nine on it.
How would you describe The Healthy Teacher in three words?
Dr. Gary Davison: Three words to describe The Healthy Teacher program when I asked my staff that participated in it, the things that came back to me were, concierge, effective and they really liked it and had a lot of fun. So I would say concierge, effective, and fun.
How has the service positively impacted the overall health and wellbeing of your teachers and staff?
Dr. Gary Davison: The Healthy Teacher program really hits the perfect spot for teachers because as you know, teachers are busy, um you know, grading papers and calling parents and all of the things. It is a time consuming, it is a crunch and my staff really enjoyed The Healthy Teacher program because it was taught by teachers who understand their stress, they understand the peaks and valleys of the school year. And they felt like that they received feedback from people in a workout situation, from people who understand their work and they understand their stress level. So I feel like that understanding part really meant a lot to my staff.
Why is The Healthy Teacher different from similar programs or services?
Dr. Gary Davison: The Healthy Teacher program is different for a couple of reasons and, and I personally would recommend it to any other principal for these specific reasons: It's very customizable. Some of my staff members could do it here at school, they could take it home and do it, they could do it on the road, they could do it wherever they are as long as they had a link and they were able to be with the community. They felt like it was very customizable and it was very portable in that way. And I personally like anything that my staff members can do together and it was done by people who understand teachers and it really meant a lot. And in this time where teachers are having such a difficult time to be taught by somebody who understands them really means a lot to teachers. So Lauren, Reagan, thank you so much for everything that you did for our staff this year and last year and, and what you do for teachers all over, we really appreciate it. I myself greatly appreciate you and what calmness, serenity and strength you bring to teachers. It really has been a big help for my teachers that translates to my kids.
