Hello, my Foundation Academy family! It's your CEO Sheria McRae coming to you with our October monthly video. I'm so excited to talk about how to make our community LAST --and each of you are part of just that. And so how do you do that? You do it through Love. That means cultivating opportunities for connection here at work, and school amongst staff students and families. That means Accountability, amplifying our collective successes and growth opportunities as a school community. That looks like Support, uplifting yourself, other staff, students, and families so that equity is realized across our school community. And that also looks like Trust, making decisions with the understanding that our students and families depend on all of us. And so this month I'm going to challenge us all to make our community LAST by equipping our scholars and each other to excel through the S -- support. And so what does that look like you may ask very specifically? Well that looks like asking questions through curiosity and not judgment, listening with an open heart, and validating another person's thoughts and feelings whether they're a child or an adult. Empowering each other -- and our scholars -- coaching each other in our gaps so that we meet our goals together. Communicating regularly through check ins one-on-ones. And all of these things together will ensure that we win; that we are successful -- the adults and the children-- which is so important and which is why we are all here. I'm excited to do our walk throughs and see members of our community making it LAST through support. Together, we will achieve our goals. Until next month! I'll see you.
