Speaker: Natasia Cooper

Good afternoon Primary families. I come here today with some bittersweet yet very exciting news. After serving as the primary school principal for the past six years I will be moving into the chief academic officer position effective July 1 2022. I have truly enjoyed leading the primary school team and I am excited to still be working with the team, you our families, and our scholars. But just in a new way! Over the years, we have eliminated the color chart, and adopted restorative practices. We have adopted the science of reading and totally revamped our phonics programming. We have worked tirelessly to ensure our scholars feel seen, heard, and loved. It is with the utmost confidence that I announced Miss Brittany Greco and Miss Kheri Freeman as the new co-leaders for the primary school. They both bring expertise, experience, compassion and conviction to this role. I also know our teachers will continue to shine bright and spark a light in our students. I am really excited about what's next as we all move forward with new leadership. I love you all, and I'm grateful for all of your ongoing love and support

Kheri Freeman: Hello, Foundation Academy Primary School Families, my name is Kheri Freeman and I'm excited to have the opportunity to introduce myself. I'm one of foundations principals-in-residence and I look forward to co-leading the primary school with Miss Brittany Greco next school year. I have been part of the F. A. family since 2020 and I'm excited to take the next steps in ensuring our promise of equipping our scholars to excel in learning and empowering them to lead purpose filled lives. At the primary level, this includes equipping our students with a strong academic and social emotional foundation. We look forward to seeing their growth as we support their academic journey through research-based best practices. I would like to also take this time to congratulate Miss Natasia Cooper on her phenomenal work in the primary school over the last few years and wish her the best of luck as she takes on the role and responsibilities of chief academic officer on July 1, 2022. I'm beyond confident in the work that she will do to further advance the academic landscape for our scholars in K through 12. As this change in leadership approaches, I look forward to the opportunity to get to know each of you. Please note that additional information is forthcoming as we finalize plans for the 2022-23 school year. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions.

Brittany Greco: Hi, I am Brittany Greco and I am incredibly proud of all the progress that we made this year as a network and as a primary school.

Brittany Greco: I am extremely proud and excited to have this opportunity to co lead with Miss Freeman. It is truly an honor. Over the past two years, I've had the opportunity as the dean of instruction at the primary school where Miss Cooper has paved an extremely strong pathway of success for the primary school. Now, with Miss Freeman and I co-leading and having that support of Miss Cooper, I really do believe the possibilities of success are endless. We are already planning and preparing for the upcoming school year and just getting really excited to have an amazing year, not only as a team but as a partnership and as a community.
