Speaker: Kathryn Wundrow, VP of Sales and Marketing

What does an average day as a TDR employee look like for you?

Kathryn Wundrow: One of my favorite things about the digital ring is that no two days look the same and so talking about an average day is always a difficult thing. But in my specific role, I do a lot of business development. So I'm on calls with clients most of the day just trying to understand what their potential needs might be, how we could work with them as a partner. And then the other part of my role I would say is spent sitting in on other client calls, helping brainstorm, helping problem solve, collaborating on different things with all of our different teams trying to figure out what marketing strategy is really going to help meet our clients goals.

What stands out to you about the culture at The Digital Ring?

Kathryn Wundrow: I think one of the things that stands out for me about the Digital Rings culture is that we have a very flat structure. So while we have different teams and managers and leads, we operate in this sense that any employee can contribute a great idea, any employee can teach anyone something new. And any employee can give feedback and challenge the status quo and help us change and improve what we're doing. And then I think that's coupled with this emphasis on learning and growth and development and improvement. And so as an agency, we're constantly doing lunch and learns. In our slack threads, we're always sharing articles about new trends. We have a whole channel dedicated to "adspiration" where we're talking about different campaigns that have inspired us in our roles. And so I think that environment really lends itself well to somebody who's looking to grow and have a really dynamic career. There's just so many opportunities to further yourself and to learn more. And I think there are brilliant people on the team at every level that can help teach one another and sort of shape the way that we do things for our clients.

What's your favorite thing about working for TDR?

Kathryn Wundrow: My favorite thing about TDR is hands down the people. I love my teammates. I think they make every single call fun. They challenge me in ways that's really helped me grow and improve and develop in my career. And we care about one another, I think in a way that expands beyond our professional relationships. We like to stay in the know on what's going on in each other's lives and really be supportive of each of our goals outside of work as well. And I think that idea of the people really being special extends on to our clients as well. I think good people attract good people. And so because of that, we have clients that are just really stellar to work with that make every call special and fun and I think they challenge us and support us in all of the right ways. So, for me at the end of the day, it's just the teammates, that's what makes TDR really special.
