What excites you about going to work everyday?
Ruth E Phillips: What excites me about going to work every day is that I am teaching our new hires about insurance, what it is, what it means, what it does and how important what we do is we help people achieve their dreams and we're there for them at their best times and their worst times. And I'm able to do this because of my designation, because of the knowledge it gave me the confidence it gave me and the doors it opened for me.
What do you love most about what you do?
Ruth E Phillips: The thing I love most about what I do is when I'm explaining an insurance concept to somebody and they don't get it. You can't, they've asked questions, they don't get it and all of a sudden they do get it, their eyes light up and it clicks and they understand, they know why insurance is so important. They understand that clause. I've been explaining or the form. It, it's my favorite part of the day when I help someone do better in their job.
How does the CPCU Society help you do what you love?
Ruth E Phillips: The C PC society really helps me be able to do what I can do because there's such a great network of people that I can reach out to and ask questions. Plus the society has so many great benefits. I really take advantage of the free class every quarter and then so many webinars and other material online that is just there for us to use and it's free. And that is just one of the great benefits of this society.
