Amy Udall: I'm Amy Udall, I work for the Family Group conference service, which is part of early help for Salford City Council.
What was the service The Comms Guru provided to you?
Amy Udall: The Comms Guru produced a series of explainer videos for us for our family group conference and lifelong links offer, as well as leaflets and logo design. So we decided to go with The comms Guru because they really, really listened to us. So from day one, from our initial meeting, they really listened to what we were looking for and really got the brief and as well as that, they were really friendly, and easy to talk to and enthusiastic about the project. So the objective of the explainer videos was to try and get the message across to, professionals, but mainly to families, including children and young people, parents and caregivers, about our service offer. So this was really, really successful. One of our main challenges in service is trying to get families on board and trying to get them to consent to work with us. Now understandably, because we're quite closely linked to children's services, sometimes families can be reluctant to do this. We've had Some fantastic feedback on the videos, particularly from parents, who have, like I say, maybe been a little bit nervous or reluctant to work with us. We've found that our engagement levels for families actually agreeing to meet with us in person has definitely increased having started using the Explainer videos.
What was it like working with The Comms Guru? Tell us about your experience.
Amy Udall: We had a fantastic experience working with Paul and James from The Comms Guru. They were really friendly and personable, and the communication with them right from start to finish was fantastic. I think one of the key things that really came across was that they really listened to us. In our first initial meeting, they wanted to know more about our service, they asked us lots of questions and really wanted to get to grips with what we were trying to achieve from these videos. They then went away and came back with lots of creative ideas and different options for us in terms of our budget. The project itself came in slightly under budget, which was fantastic, and the whole project itself was 2 weeks ahead of schedule. So they really exceeded our expectations.
What would you say to people who are thinking about working with us?
Amy Udall: I highly recommend working with The Comms Guru! Paul and James are so friendly, so personable. The whole project ran really smoothly. The communication was fantastic from start to finish. And I think the thing that really sets them aside is they're so enthusiastic about your projects. They really want to get to grips with it and understand what you're trying to achieve. And I think through that they actually feel like they're a part of your team whilst you're working with them. The project itself came in slightly under budget for us and ahead of schedule. They gave us loads of different options and creative ideas to make sure that it fits our budget. So overall, just fantastic experience and we can't wait to work with them again.
