What would you like to say to your CFO?
Scott Shorter: I just want to say thank you to Andrew, our CFO. You have been invaluable and a tremendous support to our company.
What issues were you facing before we started working with you?
Scott Shorter: Our biggest issue is that we didn't have a CFO. We couldn't afford a full-time CFO. It wasn't the job of the bookkeeper nor the accountants, that wasn't their model. And finding Andrew and his wealth of experience has been an incredibly efficient way for us to have somebody in our corner, fighting for that CFO requirement.
What have been the benefits to the business specifically?
Scott Shorter: The main benefit to me is along the lines of "If you can't measure it, you can't manage it", and Andrew has enabled us to measure everything accurately so I can feel confident all the time because I know exactly where things are.
What have the benefits been to you personally?
Scott Shorter: Some of the benefits of working with Andrew and the CFO Centre is that it frees up my time to do what I'm good at, and I feel a lot more confidence in the business and a greater feeling of stability, with Andrew's assistance to accurately measure the costs and all that sort of thing. It just leaves me feeling a lot more assured that I know exactly what the picture looks like.
What's next for you and the business?
Scott Shorter: The next step for us? We're looking forward to growth. We've mapped out our costs and made some projections and feel very comfortable that we can afford to hire and scale up the business. So thank you very much to Andrew and the CFO Centre for helping us look at the numbers.
