Megan Bailey: I'm Megan Bailey and I'm a marketing leader here at marketing solutions agency. I have about 15 years of experience in marketing and I've seen quite the evolution in marketing and how companies and agencies approach marketing, throughout my tenure in this industry. My experience ranges from digital marketing to brand management, brand development and strategy. So excited to share more with you about that today.

What are you going to talk about today?

Megan Bailey: Throughout my years of experience, I worked with a number of organizations in helping them develop their brand and marketing strategies and adapting to the constant change in the industry. So today I wanted to share with you five key industry trends that I see are going to shape the future of marketing and how businesses should be prepared to adapt to them.

What key industry trends are you tracking?

Megan Bailey: The first trend I'm tracking is the rise of personalization and hyper relevance. Consumers now expect a personalized tailored experience from the brands that they interact with and companies need to be using data driven insights in which to provide those personalized recommendations. The next is the power of purpose and authenticity. Consumers expect to connect on a deeper level with a brand's mission and so a brand should have a clear purpose and have that reflected in all of their touch points and their products and services. Next, we have the era of conversational marketing with the rise of AI chatbots and voice assistants. Consumers expect to be able to have a conversation with their companies even through AI on a regular basis in which to reach their goals and get answers that they want video and bite size content is the next key ingredient to any marketing plan with the rise of TikTok, Instagram reels and the short attention spans we have today consumers want catchy engaging, short content to give them helpful, engaging and even inspiring content. Last privacy and data ethics is still key consumers want to know that their data is protected and being used to create those personalized experiences but not being sold out at the end of the day.

What's the outlook for your industry?

Megan Bailey: The outlook of the marketing industry and the ways that companies leverage marketing now and in the future is highly dynamic yet very promising all of the advancements in technology, changing consumer behaviors and the key trends that I just talked about, open a ton of doors for companies in the industry as a whole to really make their mark and be as creative as you want and as efficient as you want now and in the future.

What does this mean for your business and what can the business community do to embrace this trend?

Megan Bailey: Embracing these trends, presents significant opportunity for growth and success for you and your business and you can create meaningful connections with your audiences. Remember, personalization, purpose, conversational marketing video in bite size content and privacy and data ethics. Those are the key trends to focus on, embrace change, be creative, be adaptable and you'll be well on your way to marketing success.
