Speaker: Amit Jain, MD, MBA, FACS, FAAOS, Co-Course Director

Amit Jain, MD, MBA, FACS, FAAOS: Greetings everybody. My name is Amit Jain. I'm an orthopaedic spine surgeon at Johns Hopkins. I take care of adults and kids with spinal problems. I'm also the co-director of the AAOS board review course along with Dr. Carol Morris

What makes this a unique course for residents preparing for the Part I Exam?

Amit Jain, MD, MBA, FACS, FAAOS: What makes this course unique is the passion for the faculty to help residents in succeeding in the part one test. We all recognize that the test is a lot of work to prepare for, and we want to give you the best tools possible to succeed in your journey.

Greg M. Osgood, MD, FAAOS: I think this really does provide a very solid structure for being comprehensive and addressing all the major issues in a way that, with friendly faculty, you don't beat it in but really kind of present in clear ways, and I think that's pretty unique.

What key skills or knowledge will attendees gain from this course?

Amit Jain, MD, MBA, FACS, FAAOS: The course participants will review all key testable material for the ABOS part one. They will also learn tricks and tips that will help them pass the test.

Adam S. Levin, MD, FAAOS: I think that attendees will have a perspective from people that have been teaching for or preparation for the ABOS for years, but also how to categorize their thoughts and organize their, their ideas in order to maximize their, you know, their knowledge base and put it all together.

Looking back at last year’s course, what stands out as a memorable part?

Amit Jain, MD, MBA, FACS, FAAOS: I think in recent years courses, while we have done this virtually, the high yield talks have been a big hit, and that's something that's pretty exciting for both the faculty and the residents.

Amit Jain, MD, MBA, FACS, FAAOS: If you're a senior resident looking to take the ABOS part one test this year or next year, you will be really glad you took the AAOS board review course.
