Video Transcript

Speaker: Jeni Asaba

Jeni Asaba: Hey there! My name's Jeni Asaba and I oversee community at a technology company based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

What will you be discussing at the upcoming Customer Marketing Summit?

Jeni Asaba: At the upcoming Customer Marketing Summit, I'm really excited to talk to you about how to show your community respect. I think so often we assume we are, but we may forget to take the time to really delve in and look at our actions, and are we catering a little bit more to our company and the needs of other departments versus our customers? We'll get into that in this session, and I'm super excited to cover it for you all.

What nugget of wisdom are you hoping to leave attendees with after your talk?

Jeni Asaba: I'm really hoping to provide you with a lot of little nuggets that you can take and immediately begin to implement in your communities, but one of them, I think will be around fun. How often do we take time to have fun with our customers in some really interesting and engaging ways that do prove ROI, so hopefully that's something that you're going to learn from the session as well.

Why do you think it is important to shine the light on customer marketing?

Jeni Asaba: I am a huge proponent of shining a light on customers who are doing amazing things for one's company, and I'm just incredibly excited to share some ideas that have worked really well with me and my community so that you can help reward those customers, in maybe a different way than you've done in the past, to help create even more advocates within your program.

Which other sessions are you looking forward to watching at the Customer Marketing Summit?

Jeni Asaba: There are a lot of sessions that are definitely catching my attention that I want to tune into, but I have to say I always try not to miss Kevin Lau. He has been a thought leader in this area and really helped pave the way for other community managers. So, I look forward to seeing what he has to say.
