What do you hope teachers will take away from this course?
Susanne Leslie: Hi, I'm Susanne and I'm a course designer here at teaching channel. Recently, I wrote a course called 5853 A Moving Body, a Thinking Brain. The course is all about child development and the different stages that Children need to go through before they can be asked to do reading, writing and arithmetic and how important play is and movement is for development. Another thing I think educators will take away is how to pronounce the word proprioception and to understand what it means in regard to child development.
What do you love about this course?
Susanne Leslie: What do I love about this course? There's a lot to love. It's a vibrant course that relies on the research but is also very inviting and very engaging. And one of the reasons that it's so inviting and engaging is because of the textbook that accompanies the course, it's colorful and you just, you, when it lands on your doorstep, you're just wanna open it up and go in and page through it and start reading all the different things that there are to learn about child development and great takeaways and great applicable strategies and ideas that you can use right away.
