Darren Ebanks: Hi, I'm Darren. Ebanks. I went to school at Westwood Elementary School in Houston, Texas. So the teacher that inspired me probably the most was my fifth grade teacher, Mrs Zinc. So I was a very shy child and I hardly ever spoke and I think hardly anyone in the room even knew what my name was. I was so quiet, but near the end of the year, the fifth grade was putting on a big production for the school and, uh there was gonna be singing and dancing and whatnot and the teacher asked if anyone wanted to be the master of ceremonies. And I raised my hand first and then the most popular kid in our class raised his hand and I thought here it goes, I'm never gonna be able to do this and Mrs. Zinc picked me and, I did a wonderful job. I don't think I was ever shy after that day. Not once. So it was life changing. Thank you, Mrs Zinc. It would have been easier to pick the other kid. But it was life changing for me. Thank you.
