What UTI symptoms do you frequently struggle with, and how many UTIs do you experience yearly, on average?
Alison MacFarland: Hi, my name is Alison. I have been someone who suffered with chronic UTIs and some of my symptoms that really, really bothered me was the constant painful, burning sensation. And also just the frequency to always need to use the washroom. And this would also really affect me at nighttime. So for a long time, I suffered with bad and poor sleep quality and I would suffer from about 3 to 4 UTIs a year.
How did you hear about Utiva? How have your symptoms/frequency of infections changed since using Utiva products?
Alison MacFarland: So it was kind of random the way I found Utiva, I was just walking the aisles through Whole Foods and I saw it among the medication and supplements aisle and I just considered checking it out because I think I was a little tired of taking constant antibiotic cycles and it really, really worked for me and I definitely was not afraid of what would happen if I got a UTI because it was so chronic at a certain point that I was always fearful of when the next one would occur. And with Utiva, I felt like I was finally in control of my bladder and I was able to go places and plan trips and not have to worry about UTIs, which made a world of a difference.
What advice would you give to a friend struggling with UTIs?
Alison MacFarland: To my friend, I would say you are not alone. There is a whole community with Utiva that is right behind you. And I think that there's such a strong stigma surrounding UTIs, which is so unfortunate because so many people struggle with them and it can be a very painful experience to go through by yourself. So you are not alone. Everyone here at Utiva is behind you. And I'm just so glad that I found a community where I can share my struggles and get empowered in my own personal health journey.
